Great Minds Being Locked Out
"BEING ALONE IS BETTER THAN BEING SURROUNDED BY WRONG PEOPLE"
Once in our life, We have had come across individuals who are left out, Don't have many friends, are Made fun of, and for being "strange/abnormal". Do we ever give them a chance to express their thoughts or to even understand them? No, I don't think so because we fear that by being with them other's will think negatively of us. And this is a very common case among teenagers nowadays.
In the 21st century, Being young is extremely difficult. Not that we lack great minds, But we clearly lack great hearts and personalities. It is not easy being a HUMAN-BEING in a fake world where everyone is trying to be everyone else. We live in an ever-growing community where change is appreciated but being realistic and natural is often downgraded. Society want's us to do what they want. This world is becoming a humongous jail where, If you are satisfactory in others' eyes, you are most likely to be accepted by the world. But if you listen to yourself ignoring what society want's you to do and be, You can not fit in.
But why is that? As experienced by myself. Most people act fake to get more attention as they are afraid that they won't be accepted by Society. As a child, I did not have many friends. I unknowingly got bullied by everyone, even from my Friends, Family, and teachers. But I was too naive to understand the red flags. It was all because I was "lonely".
So I started being friends with like-minded people, Who were experiencing alike situations as me. I felt like home as a single conversation with someone wise is better than years of study. It wasn't that I was not on good terms with others, I just didn't talk much with everyone. So for exposure to something new, I started sitting with the "Popular kid's" of my school and neighborhood, But all they did was gossip which wasn't my thing.
My circle got small, But my vision got larger. While chasing gold, We lost diamonds. Fake objects attract more attention than real ones because not everybody can afford them. The mistake of this generation is we run behind pretty faces and ignore good hearts.
This world has lost many great personalities just because of one mistake --- They were not recognized or given attention to. There are many beautiful countenances with horrible personalities, yet we choose them. Not everyone can have a huge social circle and it's not necessary to have one. It's better to have real and loyal people with you rather than being someone's option to go to. We often forget that every individual is poles apart and unique. Nobody is perfect and not everybody can match your taste. We often think that we shouldn't be with someone because they are not "cool" or "popular" or "rich". It is not necessary to have a humongous social circle to be "cool". That is absurd. Having a lot of friends doesn't describe one's personality. Everyone is fighting a battle that none of us are aware of. We as humans are meant to help each other, we should be empathetic towards other individuals as Behind every strong person is a story/experience that gave them no choice.
I have learned that I will not fit in and I am very proud of that. Don't be afraid to show who you really are. Be yourself, people don't have to like you and you don't have to care. A big social circle, Shiny nails, your followers on social platforms won't do you any good because our last destination will be the grave. So rather than checking likes on your post or despising others. Let's explore the wonders that our world has to offer, Life is too short to be stuck on someone who isn't even worth our energy. You don't know when your end is, Life is very unpredictable. But if we make even one single day memorable. You will get an idea that life is worth living as a Human Being.
